About Susan Ekins

sue_for_linkedinWelcome to Women Making Strides. I’m Susan Ekins, a writer and award-winning blogger who wants to inspire and to be inspired. My goal is to empower women to be leaders in their own lives. I am the librarian at my church and a community leader for Worldwide Marriage Encounter.

Both of my parents (who I loved dearly) died of illnesses that could have been prevented if they’d taken better care of themselves. I feel we must do our part to take care of ourselves and move forward, whether it be physically, mentally, or spiritually. I also think taking care of ourselves empowers us to handle challenges in our lives. Our mission here is:

A woman who makes strides appreciates being alive and takes active steps to care for her body, mind, and spirit. She accepts challenges along her path and uses her God-given talents to better the world.”

The Women Making Strides blog shares my efforts and efforts by other women as we work towards this mission. I encourage you to join in the conversation. Please reflect on each post and share your comments. Men are welcome to join us.

Join me in this journey by following my blog and by connecting on social media. I would also appreciate you sharing the posts:
